OPEN LETTER

July 27, 2010

Louisville Citizens’ Association

Open Letter to Tom Bickers, candidate for mayor, Bob Gormley, candidate for alderman, and Joy Ingram, Editor, Louisville Observer (Deceiver).

Candidates and Editor, Wayne Lance recently circulated some of many voice mails sent to him by Gene Haun over a three day period. The Louisville Citizens Association hereby demands that you condemn those voice mails and the exposed actions of Gene Haun. You have also received an e-mail from candidate for alderman, Angie Holly, which gave her endorsement of those voice mails and must also be condemned by you. Here are some facts: Mel at the Shell Station reported to a trusted source that Gene Haun dropped off his Sharp Construction business card so Mel could call him when patrons protested the distribution of the Deceiver. That makes Gene a probable agent of the Deceiver. Gene demanded that “Wayne Lance” stay out of the Shell Station, “You are not a customer you bought two bags of ice,” he said in his voice mails. That makes Gene the probable “Enforcer” for the Deceiver. Enforcer of what? Several patrons, including Wayne, have reported they have picked up multiple copies from all businesses where it was available. Gene Haun has accused Wayne of “Stealing” expecting his threats (Enforcer) would intimidate Wayne. Not intimidated, Wayne went by the Shell Station and talked with owner, Mel, on Tuesday. He let Mel listen to Gene’s voice mail and he just shook his head and said, “Why would he do that?” Wayne replied, “Now you know what kind of people you are deal with.” Incidentally, no Deceivers were there. There aren’t any at Weigel’s or at Topside Liquor either. Please shop with shop with those businesses since they now understand what the Deceiver is all about because they have heard Gene’s voice mails too. These are all very nice people and will appreciate your business.

Gene Haun made a commitment which several citizens and the team leader of AYSO witnessed to grade an athletic field at no charge boasting that he could commit Sharp Construction to that task. The Parks and Rec Committee then hired Vision Engineering to do a site plan which cost the town $4,000 and the AYSO put this field in its plans for the spring. It turns out Gene did not have that authority so it did not happen. This event has been widely reported in the community. Nevertheless, the Deceiver responded to this news in its July 8 edition by praising Gene Haun and his work. This praise only points to the Deceiver’s lack of objective reporting and it points to its probable association with Gene Haun. Gene’s work is good and the town is grateful to Sharp Construction for its donated work. However, Gene’s word unfortunately is not so good and his Enforcer thugery must stop --- please guys.

Tom Bickers, Bob Gormley and Joy Ingram, your prompt public condemnation of both Gene Haun’s voice mails and his “Enforcer” attempts and candidate, Angie Holly’s, e-mail of July 26 written in support of Gene Haun and posted herewith is expected and will be appreciated. Your failure to do so will confirm to all your close association with Gene Haun and will confirm your support of Gene Haun’s threats and venom.

Sincerely,

Wayne Lance, Co-Founder
